Thank you for your continued use of the Yamaha CK Series Stage Keyboard.

This Readme file contains important information about the CK61/CK88 V1.10 Operating System update and the updating process. 
Please read this document carefully before updating your YC stage keyboard.


NOTICE:
- This updater is only for the CK stage keyboard.
- This updater is to be used at the user's own risk.
- All the Live Set Sounds and the settings of MENU screens and SETTINGS screens will be initialized by this updater. Please make sure that you have saved all User data to a USB flash drive before performing this update. 
- The unit may become inoperable if the electrical supply is interrupted while running the updater (by disconnecting the AC adaptor, etc.). If this happens, run the updater again from the first step. 
- If the unit does not function after running the updater, please contact your nearest Yamaha service center.

This update is applicable to the following version: 
CK61/CK88 with firmware versions earlier than V1.10


How to check the version of your CK

1. Press the [MENU] button.
2. Select the “Version Info” -> Press the [ENTER] button.
3. The following message appears on the screen:
      ---------------------
          Version Info

      Firmware V*.**.*

      Yamaha Corporation
      ---------------------

The unit's version is indicated by “Firmware v*.**.*”
Only the numbers up to the two decimal places after the first dot are important in reading the version number, you can ignore the numbers after the second dot. 
Ex.) 1.02.1 =1.02 ,  1.10.0= 1.10


Updating Procedure

  NOTICE: 
     All the Live Set Sounds and the settings of MENU screens and SETTINGS screens will be initialized by this updater. 
     Please make sure that you save all User data to a USB flash drive before performing this update. 
    

  Required Items
   - One USB flash drive of over 2GB capacity formatted on the CK
* A list of confirmed USB devices is provided on the product download page.

1. After downloading, copy the following uncompressed files to a USB flash drive that has been formatted on the CK. No other files should be present on the USB flash drive.

2. Power off the CK.

3. Connect the USB flash drive prepared in step 1 to the USB [TO DEVICE] terminal of the CK. Power on the CK while holding down the [SETTING] and VALUE[v] buttons until the “YAMAHA” logo appears on screen.
   In this step, do not press any buttons other than the [SETTING] or VALUE[v] buttons.

4. The CK OS updater will begin with a “Now loading” message and the following.
    “Current Ver” indicates the current version of the CK, and “New” indicates the updater version.
    Press the [ENTER] button to start the update.
    Press the [EXIT] button to cancel.

      ---------------------

      New     Ver : *.**.*
       [ENTER] : Start
       [EXIT]  : Reboot
      ---------------------

5. After the [ENTER] button is pressed, the following message will appear.

      --------------------- 
            Updater 
        All User memory 
      will be initialized. 
       [ENTER] : Continue 
       [EXIT]  : Reboot 
      ---------------------

   Press the [ENTER] button again to execute the update. All the Live Set Sounds and the settings of MENU screens and SETTINGS screens will be initialized.
   Press the [EXIT] button to cancel the update.

6. The following message will appear when the update is completed.
    Confirm that the Current Ver is the updater version.

      ---------------------
            Updater
      Current Ver : *.**.*
         
           Completed.
        Please turn off.
      ---------------------

 NOTICE: 
 DO NOT power off or remove the USB flash drive from the CK until the “Completed. Please turn off.” message appears. If power is accidently interrupted while running the updater (by disconnecting the AC adaptor, etc.),
 the unit may become inoperable. If this happens, run the updater again. If the unit still does not function after doing this, please contact your nearest Yamaha service center.

7. Turn off the CK and remove the USB flash drive.

8. Power on the CK.

This completes the update process.

- Additional new SETTING -> Audio Trigger -> Play Mode parameter: “Hold”.
